| Title: | Awareness and Performance of pupils in Basketball in Saint Louis University Laboratory Elementary School: An Analysis |
| Authors: | Cortez, Dominga B. |
| Issue Date: | Mar-2003 |
| Abstract: | This study determined the awareness of 117 pupils in basketball; their
performance of the game, factors affecting their awareness and performance; and
the relationship between awareness and performance.
Findings show that pupils are moderately aware of rules, skills, warm-up exercise, and conditioning and are highly aware of cooling off exercises. They differ significantly in all the areas of basketball. That they satisfactorily perform in playing implies that they significantly differ in performance.
Social, personal and psychological factors significantly affect their awareness and performance. Finally, their awareness of rules and required skills significantly relate to their performance but not to warm-up, conditioning and cooling off exercises. |
